Id like to start like all the previous interviews, whats your Mgo history? Some areas that you could touch on could include how you found MGS, MGO 1 / 2, Your clan history and possibly a couple of names that you have encountered along your mgo path.

Tony / The White Mantis:
So first off this is my first online metal gear solid and im huge fan of series. Completed all of em and unlocked all possible secrets. hmm about my clan history it started from Back Door Bandits when nelson mandela was leader aka Meteorax. after that Mete left and i followed him in Final Story where i met most of the 2tm ppl. After FS i made my own clan 'Hand Of Cruelty' it worked rly well but then we got an invite to unite with f6 so The Element was born. That failed kinda bad, all hated each other mostly so we went back in HoC. and couple weeks of that i joined in 2tm and there i been in the present day


Rich:
Interesting mate, so why do you personally think TE failed? Do you think you needed more experience as a leader for it to work better?

Tony:
leader of TE was Red Leopard and most of the F6 ppl didnt like us i dunno why ppl like mlopes left clan coz he said we fail and stuff like that so i felt little bad for ruining game for em so i asked my followers should we go back in HoC they said yes so we left

Rich:
Thats really nice of you Tony. Very respectful and diplomatic approach to the situation. So with that in mind, how do you go to the other end of the scale and see Julian as a leader? Do you agree with some of his views or leadership tactics that he incorporates into 2tm?

Tony:
Thx man. Julian have been fantastic leader other than that MAJOR meltdown he had insulted all of us and made new clan.Then he started miss us so he joined back in couple days he said he will start acting like niceguy and his doing well so far

Rich:
Well fair play. So this 'MAJOR meltdown' whats the gossip there then? Just go into a little bit of detail regarding the issue.

Tony:
it was kinda silly we lost like 4 tornys with out getting in final. And he started think we are shite i could be wrong about this but this is what came in my mind

Rich:
Okais. Not really what you want a leader of a clan to do but oh well each to their own. While were on the topic of Julian. In his interview I asked him who his most valued clan member was and this was his response:


"That would be TheWhiteMantis, hes our best player and in my opinion the best player in EU, if he would leave 2TM it wouldn't be the same".


Whats your feelings towards this?

Tony:
first my e peniz rises like 20cm then im feeling happy. but meh i just try do my best everytime

Rich:
Haha great answer, the forums going to love that! So onto your progression through mgo2...How did you improve and get to the stage where many recognize you as the greatest European player. Was there a point where you thought 'damn, I'm getting shit hawt at this game?'


Tony:
After i was leading in grade points over 300 points in one point i was thinking i cant be bad at this if i can do this but ofc there is haters who thinks grade doesn't mean anything but those are the ppl who cant gross 1500 limit or play for fun.

Rich:
Haha yeah i see. Honestly mate, i take my hat of to you...you've taken an online game and in some respects 'completed it'... you've maintained the highest grade point for such a long time and proved yourself time and time again. There are many players who want advice but theres so much advice to ask so I'll just narrow it down and ask you how do you maintain consistency and top form playing?

Tony:

So what motivates you on mgo? Theres plenty of players who get bored with the game and move onto another game for a while. Is it your success that motivates you?

Tony:
hmm there is that Big Boss rank now and Rwdshop but they just release same shite again with different colors now so its getting boring now. I bought sacred 2 so i play now that for while

Rich:
but are you worried your mgo game will slip by focusing on sacred2?

Tony:
nah CoD 4 or Cod 5 didnt take it away so why it would go now

Rich:
haha fair shout buddy! Well what would you say has been your biggest achievement so far? I bet theres a few to choose from!

Tony:
When i got first time FH made me happy so did winning the EU tournament so if you look prize wize i pick winning EU torny

Rich:
Haha I was so chuffed when I got FH as well! so how about the chance to name your top 3 players - not in terms of skill but the 3 players who have been consistently nice and considerate to you since you started metal gear online 2?

Tony:
i must admit my idols when i was slof, one was KUKU and shengdu they were first FH what i ever saw so they were my idols back then kuku is still but shengdu kinda slipped away there is a lot great players its kinda hard to say top 3 but here it comes:

Nice, good choices Tony. So in contrast to this I have a question that I asked Lass and Heleb and I think you could provide an interesting answer as well. Major Kusanagi would like to know: 'If you could delete one account on MGO whose would it be ?'

Tony:
hmm it would be Ranger Paramore i just hate that guy and u cant even kill him even his standing still

Rich:
Haha awesone. So i'd like to understand what The WhiteMantis is like when he's not playing mgo - the real The WhiteMantis. So do you have a decent social life? and how do you spend your time when your not on mgo?

Tony:
So i spend my time with friends playing like footy and volleyball im terrible on footy tho but i dont care and my "main" hobby other than gaming is cycling and i got nice "gear" my bikes cost like 1500e

and ofc dancing on clubs!

Rich:
Wow thats a great answer mate. My bike in its day was probably worth about £800 - £900. Goood to se other players having a strong social life!

So have you ever met another mgo player in RL? Or do you have any plans in the near future to meet up with any players?

Tony:
One of my mates plays mgo his nick is Ocelotti ya u never heard of him but no i haven't met any1 other than him all tho MFDoom lives in same city and around 15minutes walk from here

Rich:
So any plans to meet with MFDoom and have a cheeky pint or something?

Tony:
yes i know where he live not what door but some almost...hmm i dunno time will tell

Rich:
Cool mate. so moving on, Id like to direct your attention to this years World Championships. What do you think of your chances of getting to Japan to represent the European server in singles or the team matches?

Tony:
hmm i would love to go there i think we get solid team by then and got good changes. I try both singles and team.

Rich:
I wish you all the best in your training for it, I'd like to see yourself in Japan this time around, and I'm sure theres many players who would like to see you representing our glorious server.

Tony:

So whats next for The WhiteMantis then? Just keep playing to your best ability whilst playing Sacred 2 and socializing?

Tony:
when the MW2 comes i slice little bit cake for that. and ofc i try my best allways

Haha thats an amazing way to put it mate! N1. I'd quickly like to ask your opinions on the Metal Gear Rising game and also MGS Peace walker?

Tony:
hmm rising feels like spin off but only time will tell and im not buying psp just for PW so when its released i will just look whole game on youtube xD

Rich:
Fair enough mate. So on to my smaller questions...looking back at all the MGS series. Big Boss or Solid Snake?

Tony:
Both are cool but a man whos only got FOX rank takes the prize and Grey Fox. he's my favorite char in mgs series

Rich:

hmmm i think its mgs1

Okais thats cool. A lot of people would agree with you on that one. One final question! On your comments section it says 'I Am Prisoner Of Death' whats the significance of this?

Tony:
its line what grey fox says in mgs1 when he speaks with snake he says "I AM Prisoner Of Death And Your The One Who Can Free Me"

Rich:
